We believe that when we work together, we can help shape the future of the game. Whether it's a club that wants to improve its parent education, an organization that wants to offer its staff professional development, or a coach wanting to improve their team's mindset, we will work with you to develop the roadmap to help take you where you are to where you want to be.

Organizations and staff today are presented with a myriad of challenges:

• Perhaps you want to offer parent education so your most important supporters, mom and dad, can buy in to the work you are doing every day.
• Trying to understand how to create a positive relationship between the various roles present in most sporting organizations: coaches, managers, volunteers, and more?
• Have a development philosophy but no clear ideas on how to implement that in a streamlined process with your entire staff?
• Looking to maximize each training session and enhance your player's mindset for success?
• Not enough time to mentor and develop your coaching staff as often as you want to?

Time is a limited resource, and most organizations have certain areas that they want to give more time to, but cannot. We want to work with you to identify areas in your organization or team where you are lacking, and give you a way to optimize what you offer your community.

Our "Why"

We wouldn't be where we have gotten so far if it were not for the help, the advice, the education, and the guidance from a number of mentors. Whether it be a coaching course, a lesson learned from a colleague, or advice gleaned from a chance encounter, Paul was inspired by the help he received on his own coaching journey and he wanted to return the favor. One of our greatest passions is doing for others what several colleagues did for us some years ago, and now we are intent on helping others achieve their true potential.

We want to work with clubs to help them deliver the best product possible for the community that believes in them. We want to work with parents to help them find that perfect balance in developing great players and people, both on and off the field. We want to work with coaches and players to begin to map out their development goals, giving them another avenue for learning and growth. We want to play a part, no matter how big or small, in helping you get to to where you want to be.

There is no one size fits all approach. Every club is different, every person unique. We want to work with you to identify the areas you want to improve, and we want to help find a solution that works for YOU. Our passion is to help guide and ignite your passion, and can't wait to get started!

Paul Cammarata

Founder, Coach, and Educator

Paul founded The Coaching Journey as a way to share his thoughts on the game, but it would morph into much more than just that. He first began coaching while a student at Fordham University, and it was during those early days that Paul began to realize that he wanted to make a career of his lifelong passion. Paul has had the opportunity to work at all levels of the game, whether youth, high school, college, and beyond.

He has previously worked with the New York Red Bulls, among other clubs and schools, as well as most recently helping found and run Brooklyn City F.C. as its Technical Director. Serving in both coaching and management roles in various clubs and organizations has afforded Paul the opportunity to see the various issues facing clubs, big and small, with a variety of player bases and logistics.
 
Paul is one of only a handful of coaches to hold the United Soccer Coaches Master Diploma, he also has his USSF License and his United Soccer Coaches Director of Coaching Diploma.
